Small train crash in London. One party dead.
21 May 2007

Business Consultancy Services Ltd (BCSL) congratulates Steve Hilton.

We have a Prime Minister-not-quite-elect who has promised to press ahead with the ID card scheme. The Home Office are impervious to the scientific evidence against the scheme. The US and the EU are enthusiastic supporters. And our MPs are trying to exempt themselves from the Freedom of Information Act.

Looked at dispassionately, the campaign against the introduction of ID cards in the UK could hardly be in a worse situation.

Well if that's what you believe, you're wrong. Because, almost unbelievably, Steve Hilton has managed to make the task even harder.
