Dear David,
By now I hope you will have seen the report from the Home Office Information Access Team (IAT) on your Freedom of Information Request (No. 13728). This review was conducted in response to your letter of 3rd April in which you requested a review of this case and also raised a number of other points. In their conclusions the IAT concurred with the IPS decision to withhold the information you requested and noted that IPS would respond separately on the other points you raised.
Many of these are comments on the National Identity Scheme, some now of academic interest only since the Government has announced their intention to scrap the Scheme, but I would like to thank you for these in any case. The remainder of the points you made I believe were dealt with at our meeting of 23rd February and so I do not intend to address them further.
regards,
Henry Bloomfield
